Cadet Recruitment

Calling all young people!

The Cadet recruitment window is now open for their September 2024 intake and young people across the county are being encouraged to do something amazing with their time and join up to the Northamptonshire Emergency Service Cadets (NESC).

Those successful in joining the cadet scheme:

  • Receive training in all elements of emergency services.
  • Learn transferable skills such as excellent communication tools and broaden your knowledge of public services.
  • Make positive contributions towards public safety.
  • Meet new and interesting people and develop new friendships.
  • Open up opportunities for future careers in any of the three services

If you are aged between 13-18 and are interested in learning more about the scheme, you can find out more information at www.northants.police.uk/cadets

If you would like to apply for this year’s intake, or know someone who would be interested, please head to the website, and complete the form before the closing date, Sunday, April 7, 2024.

The meetings follow a set curriculum where you will take part in activities such as visiting the Force Control Room, and officer safety training, as well as supporting each service at community events.

There are currently 6 cadet units in Northamptonshire that meet on a weekly basis between 6pm and 9pm – Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, Daventry, Towcester, and Corby.
