We are delighted to announce that The Friends of the Bridleway have been successfully awarded £6,500 from the Yelvertoft Windfarm Fund to resurface the Bridleway. They anticipate works will be carried out at the beginning of December and will take a maximum of 10 days. During works, access will be limited and closed for vehicles. The resurfaced track will start from the start of the bridleway houses to the allotments.
We are delighted they have received this funding and hope that this makes access for walkers, families, cyclists and horse riders along the track a more pleasant experience. The resurfacing will be to an acceptable standard for horses – hardcore not concrete.
It is hoped that speed humps and a barrier at the start of the bridleway to limit vehicular access will also be installed in the near future too.
Can we please ask that vehicles drive very slowly on the bridleway for safety reasons and to make sure we prolong the life of the surface.
