New Bus Service from September 2017

From Monday 4th September, service 96 Northampton – Rugby will be revised. Following discussions between the council and Stagecoach all journeys will additionally serve Long Buckby station, where time in the schedule permits. This is to provide interchange facilities with the train service, and also to provide residents of the Station Road / Bakers Lane area of the village with better access to the bus service.

From the same date, 2 peak-hour journeys in each direction on Rugby town service 3A will be extended to / from Dirft, Crick, West Haddon and Yelvertoft. Funded by the Section 106 Agreement for Guilsborough Road, West Haddon this will increase the peak hour service between West Haddon / Crick and Dirft / Rugby to broadly half-hourly, and also introduce a peak-hour service between Yelvertoft and Dirft / Rugby.

Yelevertoft will have 2 buses per day Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.  From the Knightley Arms 7am / 8.19 am and evening 5.30pm / 6.30pm.  Bus Timetable SEPT 2017.

The Parish Council have thanked Highways as some service is better than nothing, however, we believe that a service returning at lunchtime would be very beneficial.

Fed up with vehicles speeding through the village?

If so, would you like to become involved with the Speedwatch Scheme?  It involves spending a morning being trained on using the speedwatch equipment and then being part of the volunteers who use the equipment throughout the year periodically.

The next training day is scheduled for:

Saturday 2nd September 2017, 10am to 12 noon in Northampton.

Car sharing available.
