THE NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY FP3 (PART) – PARISH OF YELVERTOFT)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northamptonshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists from proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway FP3 in the Parish of Yelvertoft as specified in the Schedule below.  Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said length of bridleway are unaffected.

RIGHT OF WAY TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: The path that is due to be closed is FP3 in the Parish of Yelvertoft. The existing route to be closed begins at Point A on the order map at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 5630 7436. It then heads north east for 995 metres to Point B at NGR SP 5722 7473. The route to be closed is shown by a solid black line between Points A – B.

REASONS FOR RESTRICTION:   The restriction is required to allow construction activities for DIRFT III phase 2.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE:   The Order will come into effect on 8th July 2020 and will continue in force for a period of six months.  An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for this Order to be extended if this proves necessary.  However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such extent as is indicated by the display of notices.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: There is no suitable alternative route.

NOTICE OF CASUAL VACANCY

I herewith give notice of a vacancy for a Parish Councillor arising from the resignation of Councillor

Unless ten electors of the Parish give written notice to the *Proper Officer of the District Council within 14 days# after the date of this notice requesting an election to fill this vacancy, the Parish Council may be able to fill the vacancy by co-option by the Parish Council.

Where ten valid requests for a by-election are received by the Proper Officer then under the provisions of the Coronavirus Act 2020 and The Local Government and Police and Crime Commissioner (Coronavirus)(Postponement of Elections and Referendums)(England and Wales) Regulations 2020 the by-election will not currently take place, and the vacancy will be held open until the by election takes place. The 2020 regulations provide for the by election to take place on the date for the Ordinary Election of Councillors due to be held on Thursday 6 May 2021. However, this date may be brought forward or deferred by the Government depending upon the circumstances. Any Election that is In due course called will be duly publicised as required by law.
