The meeting date has now been set and all residents are welcome to come and hear what is proposed and comment. The presentation will be given by Andy Crisp, the Chairman of the Daventry District NHW and will cover the features and benefits of the scheme for the village.  Should his recommendations find favour and if there is support for the scheme, then it is proposed to relaunch as soon as possible thereafter. The Parish Council hope that this will be of interest to everyone.

Please do support the meeting/scheme.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Neighbourhood Watch village meeting

The Parish Council have been investigating the possibility of relaunching the Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) Scheme within the village.

Andy Crisp, the Chairman of the Daventry District NHW, has offered to come to Yelvertoft and present the features and benefits of the scheme to the village.  Should his recommendations find favour and if there is support for the scheme, then it is proposed to relaunch as soon as possible thereafter. Times and dates are presently being agreed for this public meeting and more information will follow as soon as they have been finalised.

If you would like to get involved in NHW then please do contact us.

Attention – Dog Walkers

It appears that a section of the Bridle Way from the High Street to Crick has been weed sprayed. We are uncertain as to who has carried out this as it was not the Parish Council. We have checked with Highways who have confirmed it was not them and they have checked with the landowner who has also confirmed it was not them. If you have witnessed anyone weed spraying in the area recently then please do let us know.

Unfortunately, we have had several reports of dogs becoming unwell and having sore paws. A vet has confirmed that this may be due to the weed spray.  Please do take extra care if you are walking your dogs on this bridleway.
