VACANCIES / TENDERS
We are looking for:
1) Quotes for someone to install a dog bin in Yelvertoft (post already in situ so just attaching to post).
2) People to tender for the village maintenance contract – self-employed. The duties are ad hoc and can consist of work such as installing dog bins, clearing alleys of weeds, planting and maintaining flower beds, erecting signs, general repairs etc. We usually pay an hourly rate, plus materials, as opposed to per job carried out. You must have public liability insurance at a minimum £5m, and your own tools. Also preferred is someone qualified in weed spraying.
3) Councillors – voluntary. We are currently down to 3 councillors and desperately need a further 6. Anyone can become a councillor who is either a resident in Yelvertoft, works in Yelvertoft, or resides within 3 miles of Yelvertoft. Therefore, we welcome applicants from surrounding villages also. You don’t need any experience or qualifications, just a passion for Yelvertoft.
